Welcome to the Grizzly ’81 Scholarship Home Page
We are pleased to offer this scholarship, which began in 2022, for two student-athletes from Wadsworth (Ohio) High School who demonstrate commitment and effort both on and off the field. Application deadline is April 15.
The Grizzly ’81 Scholarship is a non-renewable award of $2,000 each to a graduating male and female student-athlete from Wadsworth High School. The two recipients will have met the following criteria:
* Achieved a grade-point-average of 3.0 or higher.
* Have shown dedication to athletic and academic achievement, making the most of their ability on and off the field.
* Have demonstrated commitment to others through leadership and/or community service.
* Are well-rounded individuals with interests and abilities that extend beyond the playing field.
* Have a need for college financial assistance.
The scholarship is funded by Marc Hoffman, WHS Class of 1981. The Grizzly ’81 Scholarship application is accessed and completed via an online form with a deadline of April 15.
To be considered, you must be a graduating senior from Wadsworth High School in Wadsworth, Ohio. Scholarship winners will be announced at the Wadsworth High School Senior Recognition Ceremony, and awards will be paid directly to the winners’ colleges of choice.
